Been there, done that. Sometimes despite our good intentions, life (college life…) is at a hectic high and needs to take priority over our desire to enjoy crafting. The problem might also have to do with our creativity being at an all time low. And you know what? That is okay.
Crafting at Its Finest
One of the things I love about crafting is that there is a tangible finished product at the end of every project. That is, even when you aren’t currently working on a new project, you can still enjoy the things you have made previously.
That Moment of Realization
With finals on the horizon and milestones for different projects coming due, I personally haven’t had much free time to spend on crafting.
(This is pretty much a contradiction to my previous post on making time for crafting, but sometimes…you know… 😉)

There was one night recently that I was engrossed in solving an algebra problem and suddenly realized I couldn’t remember the last time I’d sat down and simply worked on one of the many projects I had lying around. I had completed some knitting during a few movie nights and made a few birthday cards, but I hadn’t had a set time for crafting in a while.
As I said this, I was snuggled under a knitted blanket, looking at a framed cross stitch on my wall and holding a personally decorated notebook.
The Point: Enjoy
Enjoying crafting, my friends, is not always about having a project to work on and time to work on it.
Because we as crafters have so many tangible objects that we have created, even when we find our creativity dipping and our schedules filling, we can still fully enjoy the things we have created previously.

To sum up, it’s okay to be in a creative slump or realize you haven’t worked on a project in a while. Leaning back and taking just a few moments to enjoy the things we have created and understanding that our outside life needs to take priority over our hobbies can be just so fulfilling. It might even be as fulfilling as completing that crazy quilt you’ve been working on since 4 summers ago! 😊

As always, know that although it may try, a busy schedule doesn’t HAVE to keep you from crafting! 😊
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
